New Mr. Right Now

So there's this guy. And considering how I feel about him at this current moment, we'll call him Poopface McGee. Poopface and I have been dating exclusively for about three weeks now, and in that time, I have had around two hours of alone time with him. Don't get me wrong, I like hanging out with our friends or his friends or my friends, but isn't that how a relationship grows, is with spending time with eachother, and not with our friends with eachother?
Now, that's not all. since we've been together, Poopface has gotten injured serious enough to go to the hospital twice, and who is the last person to know about this? Me.
When poopface has had a trying or rough day, does he talk to me about it? No.

Well.
Dear Mr. McGee,
Your ability to put aside your bad mood or negative attitude to spend some of your available free time with your significant other is, shall we say, lacking. If you could alter that soon it would much appreciated. Until such changes are made, for the month of October, your dues to the "In a Relationship Club" are an all expenses paid dinner. You can come too if you would like, but it's not necessary. Your girlfriend can eat without you if you can't find the time or desire. This balance must be paid off by November 1st, 2010. If you miss your due date, I'm afraid you will be terminated from the club. Bummer dude.
Sincerely,
President of Your Girlfriend's Association
P.S. Reffering to last month's letter about your hair being a 1/2 inch too long, thank you very much for taking care of that promptly.

The Elmers glue to my perma-puzzle-

Everyone has people in their life that hold them together. People that lift them up, keep them grounded, provoke them to let loose, and embrace the opportunity to have deep conversation. Whether you find these qualities in a close knit group of friends, or large variety that brings a little something different, the bond you share with those people is sacred, and you can't possibly choose favorites when you find yourself blessed with this arrangement.

I have to admit, it's taken me a long time to accomplish this occurance in my life, but I am so lucky it happened. I enjoy spending time with multpile people, but this will help you familiarize yourself with the most often blog-worthy ones.

In no particular order:
Kelli (aka Ophelia, Kelli Belli)-
She is an undercover optimist. She's witty, sarcastic, and makes fun of people with rose-colored glasses. I met her in 2005, and though we get busy and stagnant, we always drift back together at some point. She is funny, confident, insightful, and crazy. She works in retail at a "fat lady store" (her words) and she is great at her job. She is the best tap dancer I know, and a great actress.

Sarah (aka Lynne, Pretty)-
She is the perfect mixture of sugar and spice. She knows exactly who she is, and if someone has a problem with it, she knows where to tell them to shove it. She is a lover AND a fighter. When she loves you, she will do anything for you. She is my party chickadee and my shoulder to cry on. The one and only person who will join me in belting our favorite song no matter who is listening.

Michael-
Every girl needs one, and he is mine. My GBF(gay best friend). He fell into my life not too long ago (he's in a relationship with another close amazing friend of mine, Nicholas), and each and every time I see him he surprises me with a new factoid about his personality. He gives fabulous advice, beats my ass at video games, dances like no one is watching, and is the most random person I know.

Ryan-
For those of you who don't know, I'll claim him- he's blood. We have grown closer recently and I am not about ready to let that go to waste. He's the best example of a decent guy I know. He needs to run his own Hitch business.

Kristina (aka Seester)-
She married my brother so she could be related to me (ha ha just jokin). No but really, she is the amazing sister I never had. She is creative, resourceful, and will take on any challenge. She does this thing where she tells me to pinch in between my big toe and my second one to make my headache go away. Crazy thing is, it works. Silly Kristina, voodoo is for creepers. ;)

There are others that deserve to be on here, but I am tired, so this is to be continued....

My trip to Kansas

In the beginning, I visited my brother and sister in Kansas.
The beginning of what you may ask? Their life- away from me.

But I'm not bitter.

Really.

I'm happy that they're happy, and that they aren't afraid to touch fish.
Up until this vacation, I didn't think I was either. My second time fishing, I was toodling along, just about to bring my line in to recast and.....
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!", the GIRLIEST scream leaked out of my face. I didn't even know I could scream like that, it was like an out-of-body experience.
Best way to describe it- when you're watching one of those ghost shows, and you hear an EVP and it kind of gives you a little *jolt* of a spine chill, except it was from my own mouth.
"What? What happened?", Kristina asks.
My face contorts into a sort of IjustrealizedIsteppedindogpoo look, "I caught a fish."
The corners of my mouth feel like they are permanently droopy. "I don't want to touch it"
In the end, the only way I would take a picture with the first four inch fish I caught, was having it suspended in the air next to me as I leaned toward it.
Ah, good times.

I jacked a real fishbowl used for serving alcohol out of a bar so that Ryan could put a Beta in it, and dang it, there better be a damn fish in it when I come back.

They're right- Lawrence really is a cross between Denver and Boulder- dreadlocks and hobos and everything.

I had never been to Urban Outfitters before I went- great books.

I never realized how much I miss my siblings before I came home- I love you guys.
